
Got myself running today by listening to “Little Feat”! I hadn’t listened to them in a long time, so it helped me push on through my miles today. Sometimes listening to an old CD or listening to a new book will help you lose yourself in your exercising. Running felt great today, the birds were singing and it’s a nice sunny day on the coast of South Carolina. Legs were actually stronger with running than walking today. After my run, I did some ab work on my yoga ball. I have been also neglecting my core and I feel that when I run. Having a strong core is key for your exercises to feel better. Plus, having a strong core will help eliminate or lessen back pain. Strong core gives you a stronger back.
I have been slack this week regarding my exercise. Sometimes I need to practice what I preach and that is….when you are going through a stressful time, don’t neglect your exercise! When we are stressed, exercising can be the last thing we want to do, but if you get out there and do it, you will be glad you did! Exercise helps you deal with whatever you are dealing with. It’s amazing how much better you can feel after you get that ole ticker or young ticker, pounding hard and sweat running off your body! Exercise becomes a cleansing for your body and your mind. I think people can forget that exercise is just as important for our minds to be healthy as our bodies. When you get your heart rate up those endorphins begin waking up and waking you up also. So if you are feeling stressed, get out and walk, do a video, go to the gym, etc. Do something! It will help you handle what you have on your plate and more! Happy Wednesday!
