You might think, why run with your mouth shut? Bugs? No, actually it’s for breathing and exhaling through your nose. Keeping your mouth shut I find keeps my breathing under wrap and it really is less tiring than breathing with your mouth open. You don’t get a dry mouth either!
I had my best run this morning, since I started back running on May 23rd, 2 1/3 weeks ago! My pace was slow, but steady and strong. Remember, don’t worry about speed, that will come later. Putting in the miles for endurance is more important! The longer you run or walk the more miles you will put in and more calorie burn!
I hit my goal of running 2 miles with no walking in between! It felt great. My back felt much stronger today, so I’m excited my abs are gaining strength. I still need stronger abs, but I am working on that!
My next goal to hit is 3 miles. I will work on adding a half to the 2 miles and then move up to 3. I’m very anxious to get myself up to running 5 miles on an every day basis. I am anxious to shed weight and get my muscles strong again.
Tomorrow will be a walking day, maybe some weights and a little yoga. Remember to stretch every day, it makes a difference! Have an awesome hump day my friends!
