
Good morning everyone! Happy Thursday! This morning I was able to fit in a quick 2 miler. Wish I could have done 4 but I had a time constraint today. Well, if I had gotten myself up 30 minutes earlier I could have, but I didn’t and now I am not going to lament on what I could have done. Only going to concentrate on what I did and be proud of it. Two miles is better than none. I needed this run too today. Lots of stuff going on in my brain and I had to be able to keep it all straight. Running does that for me, provides me good cardio and a nice clean, organized mind. If you feel cluttered upstairs, get out and do some cardio, jumping jacks, squats, walking, jumping rope. Do something and you will be surprised how much better you feel. Do that for yourself, it really is like giving yourself a gift!
My stride has gotten longer and this is so exciting. At first when I started to lengthen my stride I felt like I was prancing like a deer and it felt very funny and I felt a little self conscious about how I looked, well not really….I like to give my neighbors something funny to look at! I do believe all my backwards walking has helped this. In fact, today when I was doing my backwards walking in between my running, I noticed I was taking bigger steps backwards too and was going faster than a week ago. So cool! When you lengthen your stride in walking or running you cut out some time! I am all about doing something quicker!
Try lengthening your stride, you may feel like you are prancing like a deer, but it will pay off for you!
