
Yoga Sun Salutations and my 10 minute Power Yoga dvd gave me peace and a good attitude for this beautiful breezy Sunday morning at the beach. Upper body weights were also done this morning. I’m trying to speed up the process of gaining better muscle tone in my arms. Yoga does wonderful toning for me, although I am not able to perform some of the poses that would help build more muscles so I add free weights to my routine. I have become more flexible with Yoga, but can’t achieve looking like a pretzel yet! One morning I have decided I will take my Yoga outside. I will grab my mat and head to the beach and experience Yoga, the waves crashing, the sand beneath my mat, the gently cry of the sea gulls… and the tourists looking at me like I’m crazy! I think it is wonderful to do Yoga outside. I have done that before, although I was with my teenage boys and let’s just say, they were not thrilled at all! Next time I am definitely going solo. Starting your day with some relaxing stretching, yoga, weights or whatever you choose to do, will set the tone for the rest of your day. Stretch, breathe, think, stretch, breathe, think. Give yourself a gift of peace before tackling what you have to do for the day. Namaste.
