Mirrors in the bathroom, mirrors in the family room, mirrors everywhere! Mirrors can be your worst enemy or your best friend and I’m not talking about your physical appearance! What we see in the mirror has everything to do with the way we feel inside. If we feel bad, sad or insecure, the person looking back at you is not the true you! If you see this person, your friends, co-workers and family will also see this person. The mirror reflects not only our physical bodies, but what our minds are thinking about ourselves at that moment. Our minds are very powerful.
It’s when we feel happy and good and self-confident, that person looking back at us looks beautiful, no matter what we are wearing! When we feel happy and good about ourselves it’s amazing what we can accomplish in a day! The days we don’t have good self-esteem or are stressing about problems; our day can get away from us. Tasks are not done, get-togethers with friends are not met and by the end of the day we are totally exhausted from doing nothing! These are the days when we look in that mirror and tell ourselves, “I am not worthy, I feel ugly, I feel too tired today to do anything. When you see yourself in that mirror you can either tear yourself down or pull yourself together and make yourself feel good.
So look in the mirror and ask yourself, “Who Am I Today?” “Am I unhappy, unworthy and ugly or am I happy, self-confident and beautiful! Sometimes talking out loud to ourselves can really drive the point home. So say to yourself, “Mirror, I am beautiful today, I am secure with who I am and I can accomplish everything I need to do today!” Just try this simple exercise and you will be amazed how much better you will feel and you will have a great day! So ask yourself, “Mirror, mirror, who am I today?
