Ever wish anything in your life were different? Ever wish your friends, family or co-workers would act the way you want them to? Well stop that! You are giving time to wishes that are not productive, healthy or realistic. All of us are different people. We think differently, we act differently and we react to things differently. Expecting people to be the way you want them to be is unfair to them and unfair to you. Besides, think about how boring it would be if everyone acted the same.
You can learn from people who do things differently than you. Sometimes you may think you have the best way of doing something until someone shows you another way that gets you excited about doing it differently. At times we may find that, in discussing our differences, we discover information and ideas that no one had previously considered. Our differences can actually drive us all forward. An unexpected reaction from another person, if you let it, can change your perspective in positive ways. So the next time someone is laughing at something you don’t think is funny, go ahead, let a smile spread across your face!
